Gordon S. Wood

Alva O. Way University Professor and Professor of History at Brown University, Gordon S. Wood is the recipient of the 1993 Pulitzer Prize for History for his book The Radicalism of the American Revolution. The American Republic, 1776-1786 was the winner of the 1970 Bancroft Prize. He is married to Louise Wood and has three children, Elizabeth, Amy and Christopher Wood, who is a professor of art history at Yale University.
