Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series—one of the greatest epic fantasy adventures of all times—begins here...
When Emond's Field was attacked by Trollocs, monsters out of legend, it was only the intervention of the Lady Moiraine that saved the village. She was Aes Sedai—one of those women who could channel the One Power—and she knew that Trollocs were but a part of the evil that threatened all the world. The Dark One was searching for three young men from Emond's Field—Rand al'Thor, Mat Cauthon and Perrin Aybara—convinced that one of them was his age-old enemy, the Dragon, born once again. And so to thwart the Dark One, Moiraine led the three away—giving each of them a chance to live long enough to fulfill his part of the Pattern.

I started this series after I saw a friend of mine reading it in high shool. She told me about it and I went that afternoon to the library and checked it out. I loved it. I've read through the entire series about 4 time now. I can't put it down. ^_^

I have been reading fantasy books since I was a little kid and I have read all the major and minor series out there. Robert Jordans Wheel of Time series is the best of them all.
Most people say that Lord of the Rings is the ultimate series but I disagree. The Wheel of Time is easier to read and even more epic ( yes, that is possible ).
My whole family has read and loved the series and we all discuss our different "theories" on what will happen in future books.
You need to read these books. Nuff said!
I was absorbed into this book reading it for hours. It is one of the best fantasy epics I have ever read.
