Stephen Hawking

His body may be bound to a wheelchair, but Stephen Hawking’s mind has roamed the cosmos for decades, offering us radical new conceptions of space and time. This updated edition of Kitty Ferguson’s biography, Stephen Hawking, charts his work and enduring legacy. Beginning with his early life and studies at Cambridge—and continuing through his ever-increasing interest in the dynamics of singularities—it profiles his groundbreaking insights on black holes, the Big Bang, baby universes and wormholes; his lifelong health struggles; his personal life; and his friendly rivalries with other leading scientists. A fascinating look at both the man and his groundbreaking theories, it takes us to the frontiers of physics like never before.

A Great Book about Stephen Hawking!
June 10, 2012

I liked this book from beginning to end. You may need a little experience with modern physics terminology, but most of the book you will find interesting and educational. You will get a lot more out of this one book than in the TV shows that Stephen presents. Kitty Ferguson did an amazing job! Thank you Kitty!
